Peningkatan hasil belajar IPA materi siklus air dengan model discovery learning untuk Siswa Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

Berdasarkan hasil refleksi peneliti di dalam kelas, menunjukkan kualitas dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di kelas 5C SD IT Buah Hati masih menunjukkan hasil yang belum memuaskan. Hasil belajar tersebut belum sesuai harapan (KKM) yaitu nilai di atas 70. Hal ini terlihat pada hasil pra siklus penelitian materi siklus air ditemukan hanya 35 % dari 17 orang yang mendapatkan nilai tuntas. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini  terdiri dari 4 tahap yakni melakukan rencana, memberikan tindakan, mengamati (observasi), dan merefleksi. Teknik mengumpulkan datanya dengan observasi dan tes tertulis. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tes dan observasi pada saat proses pembelajaran. Hasilnya, kualitas dan hasil belajar murid sudah meningkat. Peningkatan  dilihat berdasarkan hasil persentase yang meningkat dari pra siklus ke siklus I lanjut ke siklus II. Rerata hasil observasi terhadap hasil belajar murid pada pra siklus sebesar 63 % kemudian meningkat di siklus I sebesar 69 %, sebanyak 8 orang murid belum mencapai KKM. Pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 89 %. Hasilnya sudah mencapai batas ketuntasan. Kesimpulannya pemakaian Model Discovery Learning meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA materi siklus air pada murid kelas 5C SDIT Buah Hati Padang.
